Account Director, Central Region (Based in Chicago)

The Account Director, Central Region Sales (based in Chicago) will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, pitching, defining, negotiating, closing and managing enterprise-level partnerships with ad agencies and direct advertisers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and generate revenue from direct brands and agencies through sales calls and sales presentations introducing and positioning OpenSlate’s data targeting solutions into high-value brand advertiser accounts.
  • Persuasively communicate OpenSlate’s data targeting offerings and unique value proposition to advertisers and agencies via email, phone, social channels, through in-person meetings/presentations and through formal campaign proposals in a way that meets advertiser and agency business needs and marketing objectives.
  • Creatively solve client business challenges via OpenSlate data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all personnel levels within an account, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the account’s organization, needs and revenue potential.
  • Identify and work with management to increase enterprise sales partnerships against the territory and account list.
  • Execute against enterprise partnership activation plans to maximize OpenSlate data targeting usage across all buying groups.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas against the territory and account list.
  • Work with cross-functional teams internally to ensure success and growth of partnerships.
  • Accurately record sales activity and deals into the forecasting pipeline.
  • Attend local market industry events and represent OpenSlate with the highest level of integrity.
  • Become a passionate expert on the OpenSlate platform and the YouTube ecosystem.

About you:

  • 4+ years in territory ownership and quota-carrying sales role in the digital media, programmatic and/or data space.
  • Strong relationships with direct clients and agencies from planner to C-level, in the Central/Midwest region.
  • Strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills
  • Experienced in selling data-driven and/or programmatic products to both media and trading desk customers.
  • Knowledge of YouTube and Google AdWords is a plus.
  • An established Digital Sales Executive, savvy in the video, data and/or programmatic landscape.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment, with excellent accountability.
