Director, Content Marketing



The Director, Content Marketing leads content marketing strategy and execution. In this role, you will create compelling content that resonates with our clients and prospects and positions OpenSlate as a thought leader. This position reports to the VP, Marketing.

Marketing plays a critical role at OpenSlate. Make your mark with a brand that has a sense of purpose – and offers solutions that are truly unique and differentiated. The marketing team is highly visible and collaborates across all functions with executive access and exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies, calendars and plans
  • Define KPIs, benchmarks and targets for all initiatives and campaigns
  • Evolve and optimize content strategy based on customer feedback/needs, industry trends, competitive landscape and content performance
  • Work with cross-functional teams and with external resources to develop original content – blog posts, case studies, articles, white papers, infographics, video series and more
  • Drive planning, execution and publishing of content across owned and partner channels

About you:

  • 6-8 years of experience developing and executing content-focused marketing strategies for a fast-growing B2B tech company. Startup or small company experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop marketing strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insights
  • Exceptional writing, curating and editing skills, with a keen eye for storytelling
  • Demonstrated excellence in developing different types of content, including short-form copy and long-form white papers
  • Ability to transform technical content into approachable, compelling content for different audiences.
  • Strong project management skills combined with the ability to think analytically and work cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to think ahead, be proactive and take initiative
