Director, Publisher Partnerships



The Director, Publisher Partnerships position at OpenSlate focuses on business development to expand relationships and revenue growth in the publisher space. This position is responsible for identifying partnership opportunities and working across internal teams to deliver a product that meets the publisher’s unique video advertising needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new initiatives, opportunities and deals for strategic alignment to bring OpenSlate’s proprietary data technology solutions to the publisher space.
  • Develop a go to market strategy for OpenSlate to partner with publishers and develop a new revenue segment.
  • Become an expert on OpenSlate’s data and capabilities in order to collaborate with potential partners to design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Lead the partnership and deal process, managing each step from strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, contract drafting and negotiation, and implementation.
  • Research new partners and stay up on the latest technology and industry news.
  • Build and maintain key relationships at publisher companies.  Serve as a trusted advisor and industry expert.
  • Work alongside product marketing to roll out internal and external collateral, education, and sales strategy for new offerings.
  • Develop strong internal relationships across the OpenSlate organization, including the client success, finance, product, sales, and engineering organizations.

About you:

  • 10+ years experience with a proven track record in sales in the digital advertising industry, ideally with publishers, broadcasters, ad networks, platforms and/or other sell-side players.
  • A closer, who is eager to land new and incremental business.  
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.  Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth stage environment, with innovation and accountability.
  • A thoughtful and strategic thinker who can comfortably interact with mid level and senior leaders.
