Social Video Content Moderator, French

OpenSlate is looking for bilingual Content Moderators in English & French to help us in our mission to foster a healthy online video ecosystem and support high-quality content. Our content ratings system ingests and analyzes more than 500 million videos every day, providing advertisers with an independent, third party assessment of the content supported with their ad dollars. Help improve the quality and safety of online video content, while gaining hands-on job experience.

As a Content Moderator, you will be responsible for analyzing and reviewing social video at scale . You will use your problem-solving skills to continuously deliver value to our clients and partners while developing deep knowledge of the fastest growing global social video platform. This position will directly impact and  ensure a safe online video environment.


  • Develop a strong understanding of the content ratings and categorization guidelines used in OpenSlate’s proprietary metrics. 
  • Evaluate, analyze and correctly categorize social video content.
  • Flag inappropriate and unsuitable content.
  • Collaborate with Client Success, Partnership Strategy and Product Management teams on on-going development of our ratings systems and tools.
  • Perform quality assurance checks as needed across content to ensure successful categorization 

About you:

  • Bilingual in English and French, including advanced command in reading, writing, and verbal communication. Proficiency in additional languages including Portugese, German or French is a strong plus! 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional setting
  • Baseline understanding of social video or digital media not required but encouraged
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software for office productivity, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with confidential information collection and management
  • Quicker learner and adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, results-oriented, self-directed, and inquisitive
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while managing multiple projects, assignments and/or responsibilities. Strong interpersonal skills.
