Mike Henry founded OpenSlate in 2012, and has grown the company to be the leader in social video brand safety and contextual analytics. Under his leadership, OpenSlate has established a data-driven approach to measuring content quality, brand safety and subject matter. Mike has an extensive background in digital advertising, video platforms and premium content. Previously, Mike was SVP, Sales, for Veoh Networks, where he led the company’s monetization strategy and built the ad sales and marketing teams. Before Veoh, Mike held several key posts at Dow Jones & Company, including SVP of Dow Jones Integrated Solutions, the company’s cross-platform global advertising division. He was also VP, Ad Sales, at The Wall Street Journal Online, where he built the company’s first online sales, sales marketing and ad operations teams.
Brian Quinn has nearly 30 years experience in digital sales and management. At OpenSlate, Brian leads the company’s domestic and international sales teams, business development, and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining the company, Quinn was Chief Revenue & Innovation Officer at Triad Retail Media, which manages online media programs for leading e-commerce retailers. His additional responsibilities included overseeing Triad’s Marketing, Product Innovation, and Media Labs divisions.
Matt Kopit is a technology leader with over two decades of experience building platforms that provide premium quality content to mass audiences. As CTO, he is responsible for all technology operations at OpenSlate, including infrastructure, software engineering and data science. Matt previously served as VP of Technology at Viacom, where he built the editorial, content and data platforms that power MTV News, as well as supporting their digital business across television shows, music, movies and live events.
JoAnna Foyle is a digital media veteran with 20 years of experience. In her role as Chief Operating Officer for OpenSlate, she is responsible for bringing organizational rigor and scale to the company while directly managing several functions including client services, account management, strategic partnerships, and business/administrative operations. JoAnna served most recently as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Platform Services at AOL, where she managed the division responsible for activating, servicing, and supporting customers of AOL’s SaaS platform, ONE by AOL for Advertisers. She also led both product and data commercialization efforts to ensure features and products were successfully launched into market.
Andrea Ching is a visionary digital media executive with 20+ years of experience in media strategy and integrated marketing. As CMO, she uses her experience in aligning great brands with premium content to further OpenSlate’s market positioning as the leader in social video analytics. Prior to joining OpenSlate, Andrea was SVP of Integrated Marketing at Turner Broadcasting, responsible for brand integrations and sales development for CNN and other Turner digital properties. Before Turner, Andrea held key positions at Neo@Ogilvy driving digital and integrated media strategy for numerous global, blue-chip brands.
Dmitri Zolotkovsky has 20 years of experience in leading finance and accounting positions with public and private companies. As CFO for OpenSlate, Dmitri is responsible for building financial efficiencies necessary to support continued growth, maintaining financial discipline, and managing budgeting and accounting processes. Previously, Dmitri worked with venture-backed SaaS technology companies predominantly in the video domain including JW Player and Exponential. Prior to focusing on technology start-ups, Dmitri worked in the public sector with Fortune 500 companies including IBM Software. Dmitri is a CPA and earned his MBA from Columbia Business School.
Lauren Burcaw is an award-winning physics PhD with nearly ten years experience in data analysis and modeling. A graduate student of one of the top nuclear magnetic resonance research labs in the world, she has also held research positions at NYU School of Medicine and Schlumberger Oilfield Services and is an alumna of the Insight Data Science program. She has numerous first author publications in prestigious academic journals and conference publications. At OpenSlate, Lauren uses her data science expertise to advance our capabilities in areas including brand safety, quality metrics, and contextual categorization.
Dale is a seasoned technical leader with 20 years experience in the media space. Dale brings his extensive experience in digital advertising, analytics and video to OpenSlate, where he and his team are focused on creating best in class data products for our customers.
Before joining OpenSlate in 2017, Dale was VP of Monetization at Viacom, where he ran an engineering team responsible for analytics and advertising products for Viacom’s consumer facing web sites and digital applications. Prior to running the Monetization Team, he headed up Viacom’s video player program, where he oversaw the development of player solutions for a wide range of digital channels, including OTT, mobile and desktop platforms.
Amy Robertson brings over 15 years of experience managing and developing talent in the agency world. As OpenSlate’s Head of Humans her mission is to foster an environment where our people can grow and reach their goals as well as attract other talented humans to join the team. She was most recently the SVP, Director of Human Resources at BBDO New York. During her 12 year tenure at BBDO, Amy oversaw talent development and recruiting across the Account Management and Planning departments. She also partnered closely with the agency’s management team to build out new disciplines, such as Communications Planning, as well as the launch of the Los Angeles office. Amy prides herself on building strong cross-discipline teams, and implementing agency policies and programs to shape the best possible thinking and output. Prior to BBDO, she worked in Account Management at Ogilvy & Mather, managing campaign development and client relationships for Kraft, Hershey and AIG.
Roberto has over 15 years of professional experience working on large-scale systems. As VP of Engineering, he focuses on building the highly-available, fault-tolerant systems that power OpenSlate’s platform. Roberto has a wide range of experience in technology from supporting animators and maintaining render farms at DreamWorks’ Animation Technology and R&D departments, being responsible for storing and processing one-of-a-kind data coming from — the now disintegrated and part of Saturn’s atmosphere — JPL’s Cassini spacecraft, and automation and build systems at Viacom.
Bridget Black leads OpenSlate’s Video Product Strategy team, where she is focused on delivering strategic partnership and effective solutions for social video platforms. With a decade of experience in social video, Bridget deftly forges both OpenSlate’s engagement with tech giants and commercialization of emerging partnerships. Prior to this role, Bridget was the Director of Product Marketing at Openslate, where she drove product and brand awareness. Before joining Openslate, Bridget worked in several sales roles at Google and, prior to that, the Harvard Kennedy School.
Kathryn Burns has over fifteen years of digital media and ad tech experience. As strategic product lead, Kathryn is responsible for managing the development of OpenSlate’s core product offering with a focus on identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions for OpenSlate’s premier enterprise clients. Prior to joining the product team, she led the client success team at OpenSlate and preceding that she held positions at various digital advertising agencies. This background gives her a unique perspective and allows her to successfully analyze the needs of OpenSlate’s enterprise clients and our own client success team to evolve and shape our products.
Guillermo Abud is a global marketing and media professional with extensive experience across different roles in management, sales, and digital media in Latin America and the US working with fortune 500 advertisers. Previously, he worked over nine years at Publicis Media and his last five years he was Vice President, Digital Director and Head of programmatic working on Multicultural clients. Prior, he worked at Publicis Media Latin America, TV Azteca, Cyclelogic Mobile Solutions, IFX Networks Mexico & Tutopia.com, and more recently at VIX as Head of Global Strategic Partnerships.
Meryl Haslach is a strategic and versatile marketing leader with 15+ years of experience. As VP/Head of Product Marketing for OpenSlate, she focuses on communication and strategy around products, as well as advocates for clients during the product development cycle. Previously, Meryl served as the Global Partnerships Director for Annalect, developing relationships and proofs of concept within Omnicom’s OMC and DAS divisions.
